Cultuurcentrum Strombeek
Cc Strombeek is a vivid contemporary arts centre based in the direct vicinity of Brussels, with the 1958 World Fair site and Atomium at walking distance. It holds a strong position in the field of contemporary art in Belgium. Since the late 1990s it has gained an international reputation with its exhibition programme. Exhibitions include referential solo shows by Gerhard Richter, Jan Dibbets, Walter Swennen, Philippe Van Snick, Gunther Förg, Mitja Tusek, Johan Grimonprez and many others; and numerous group exhibitions listing artists such as John Baldessari, Pieter Vermeersch, Jimmie Durham, Michel François, Wilhelm Sasnal, Agniezska Polska, and many others. In September 2021 Cc Strombeek will present three exhibitions on the art of drawing. Artists An Roovers, Obi Okigbo and Nel Maertens each give shape to the medium in their own way.
